‘House of the Dragon’ Season 2 Cast Direct: Meet the Two Groups of the Targaryen Respectful War

“House of the Dragon,” the spinoff of HBO’s daydream mega hit “Game of Thrones,” is returning for Season 2 on Sunday, June 16. It’s all-out war for the white-haired Targaryens, as Westeros is immersed in the Move of Mythical serpents — a ridiculous respectful war from the pages of George R. R. Martin’s novel “Fire and Blood,” on which “House of the Dragon” is based.

In the wake of the Season 1 finale, disagreeable sides have shaped in Westeros: the blacks and the greens. Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) had been guaranteed the Press Position of authority from her father Lord Viserys (Paddy Considine), but her progression was usurped by her more youthful half-brother Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney) and Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) — his mother, Viserys’ ruler and Rhaenyra’s childhood best companion. A ridiculous, dragon-filled war has presently emitted between Rhaenyra’s dark group and Aegon and Alicent’s greens.

Rhaenyra has taken the island of Dragonstone, the Targaryens’ hereditary domestic, as her base for the blacks. She’s joined there by Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith), her spouse and uncle; Corlys Velaryon (Steve Toussaint), ace of ships; Rhaenys Targaryen (Eve Best), her close relative; Jacaerys Velaryon (Harry Collett), her child; their mythical beasts Syrax, Vermax, Meleys, Caraxes and their committee and other allies.

King Aegon rules over Westeros and controls King’s Landing for the greens. He’s exhorted by his mother Alicent; her father and his hand Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans); his brother Aemond Targaryen (Ewan Mitchell); head of the Kingsguard Ser Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel); the manipulative Larys Solid (Matthew Needham); additionally their mythical serpents Vhagar and Sunfyre.

Rhaenyra Targaryen

 

   After the passing of her child Lucerys in the Season 1 finale, Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) is in grieving and looking for vindicate on the greens – particularly Aemond Targaryen, whose gigantic winged serpent Vhagar murdered Lucerys and his mythical beast. She rides the yellow mythical beast Syrax.
